Grilled Pizza

I've been reading lots of articles lately on grilled pizza and I'm finding this one universal truth...

Anything you can cook, you can grill.

So we did so with pizza and HOLY COW go-od eats.  Make any standard pizza dough you like.  Cut and roll into flat pizza disks and freeze.  I used a piece of waxed paper in between the individual pizzas.  It's easier to handle the frozen dough and does not change the cooking time, process or the texture of the dough.

Gather your ingredients ready to decorate the pizzas. VERY IMPORTANT because I found you have to boogie....the grill afterall is going and pizza is on-deck.

Grill the dough on the first side until it is firm enough to take off grill with a spatula.

Decorate the COOKED side of the pizza. Load that baby up with all your favorites and side back onto the grill. Close the top and give it a while.  You can check the progress and not lose too much hot cooking air but the more you lift the lid, the longer it takes to cook.

The kids were silent through dinner wiht the exception of their rave reviews.  Give it a shot. Good family activity and something new to try.

The dough pictured above was the ugly crust.  I ate it but it cooked up just as good as the professional looking pizzas the kids assembled below

Buddy go to enjoy the smells though I think he was slightly honked off at us for having such fabulous food and not sharing even a bite!!
